Choose Your Adventure

Two unique programs. Same values. Different experiences.

Pricing and features comparison chart for Adventure Minds programs, including Adventure Core and Adventure Plus, detailing costs, weekly mentoring, outdoor activities, group social activities, reflection activities, and additional resources.

Both programs offer the same high-quality facilitation, group connection, and outdoor fun that Adventure Minds is known for.

  • Adventure Core is our foundational program — full of nature-based adventures like bush hikes, waterfall plunges, and team-building games. It’s more budget-friendly and packed with outdoor experiences that don’t require extra third-party costs.

  • Adventure Plus includes everything in Core plus a handful of premium activities each term — think wakeboarding, escape rooms, paddleboarding, or indoor skydiving. These high-value sessions add an exciting twist to the term and make it truly memorable.

Both programs offer amazing experiences — it just depends on the kind of adventures your child is ready for and what works best for your family’s budget.

“What’s the Difference Between Adventure Core and Adventure Plus?”

No matter which program you choose, your child will be immersed in a supportive environment where they’ll grow in confidence, build friendships, and learn life skills that matter.

Meet the Facilitators Guiding

Your Child’s Adventure

Ryan Waldron
Byron & Ballina

Ryan grew up in Lennox Head and has spent the last five years guiding kayak and waterfall tours across the Byron and Ballina regions. From leading ocean paddles alongside dolphins to exploring hidden rainforest trails, his passion for nature and connection has shaped every part of his journey.

After years working in tourism, Ryan transitioned into supporting people through the NDIS, where he now combines outdoor adventure with meaningful mentorship. He’s currently studying youth work and counselling, driven by his belief that time in nature helps young people reconnect with themselves and grow in confidence.

When he’s not out on an adventure, Ryan enjoys living simply on his farm — building, fixing, and creating things by hand. He’s most at home outdoors, whether camping by a river, hiking a new trail, or chasing waves on the coast.

Fun fact: During his time as a lead guide at Cape Byron Kayaks, Ryan recorded an incredible 35 dolphin sightings in a row — a streak he’s still proud of today.

James McHenry
Byron & Ballina

James is an adventure facilitator, musician, and youth mentor with extensive experience working across rural and remote communities in Australia. His work has taken him into towns and schools where he’s delivered creative programs blending movement, art, and music to help young people express themselves and rebuild confidence.

Over the years, James has supported children and families from a wide range of backgrounds — including those doing it tough — through adventure-based learning, fitness, and creative workshops. Whether it’s running team challenges, leading hikes, or facilitating group reflection, he creates safe and uplifting environments where young people feel seen, valued, and inspired.

Guided by faith and gratitude, James lives a life rooted in purpose and service. He finds peace in nature, strength in movement, and joy in helping others discover their voice and potential.

Fun fact: James once toured regional Australia delivering mental health and hip-hop workshops — and even recorded a song with one of his youth groups along the way.
