Two unique programs. Same values. Different experiences.
“What’s the Difference Between Adventure Core and Adventure Plus?”
Adventure Core
Adventure Core is our foundational program — full of nature-based adventures like bush hikes, waterfall plunges, and team-building games. It’s more budget-friendly and packed with outdoor experiences that don’t require extra third-party costs.
Adventure +PLUS
Adventure +Plus includes everything in Core plus a handful of premium activities each term — think wakeboarding, escape rooms, paddleboarding, or indoor skydiving. These high-value sessions add an exciting twist to the term and make it truly memorable.

Meet the Facilitators Guiding
Your Child’s Adventure
Sam Cook
Byron & Ballina
Sam brings over 15 years of experience working with young people across the Byron Shire, with a strong background in outdoor education, wilderness leadership, and adventure-based learning. He has worked with organisations such as Outward Bound, adventure therapy programs, and Steiner schools, where he designed and led camps, environmental programs, and transformative outdoor experiences.
Trained in outdoor leadership and rites of passage facilitation, his approach blends structure with playfulness. He creates fun, engaging environments while encouraging leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility within the group.
Outside of Adventure Minds, Sam enjoys spending time in nature, staying active, and continuing his own personal practices that keep him balanced, present, and connected.
Fun fact: Sam once led a group through a remote wilderness evacuation, guiding a team to carry an unwell participant over 10km to safety — a moment that brought out incredible leadership and teamwork in everyone involved.
Jackson Greenaway
Byron & Ballina
Jackson has been working with the Rites of Passage Institute since 2017, facilitating powerful outdoor camps designed to help young people grow into confident, grounded individuals. From boys’ initiation camps to family-based programs, he has spent years guiding groups through challenge, reflection, and deep connection in nature.
As a team leader and Logistics Manager, Jackson has led teams, coordinated complex camps, and stepped into facilitation roles — running games, leading group discussions, and supporting participants through meaningful experiences. He’s known for his calm presence, strong leadership, and ability to shift group dynamics when it matters most.
Outside of Adventure Minds, Jackson enjoys surfing, bushcraft, music, and exploring the outdoors — always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow.
Fun fact: Jackson helped reshape a key rite of passage activity by shifting the focus from individual struggle to teamwork — a change that’s now become the standard approach on camp.
