Bond and Bloom Program
Introducing Nurtured by Nature Psychotherapy
At Adventure Minds, we are always on the lookout for experiences that support and educate kids, not just keep them busy. Programs that help young people slow down, connect with themselves, build confidence and grow emotionally are incredibly important to us. That is exactly why we love what Nurtured by Nature Psychotherapy is doing with their Bond and Bloom Program.
Set on a working horse property near Canungra, Bond and Bloom is one of those experiences that feels deeply grounding the moment you hear about it. It’s thoughtful, calm and very intentional.

Learning That Happens Naturally
What really stands out to us is that Bond and Bloom is not about forcing outcomes. Kids are not being told how they should feel or who they should be. Instead, they are given space to explore, observe and learn through real experiences with horses, nature and gentle guidance.
Spending time with mares and foals naturally brings up lessons around trust, boundaries, communication and emotional awareness. Horses respond honestly and calmly, which makes them incredible teachers for children who are learning how to regulate emotions, build confidence and connect with others.
This style of learning fits beautifully with how we see youth development at Adventure Minds. Growth happens best when kids feel safe, supported and free to be themselves.
What Kids Can Take Away From Bond and Bloom
From what we have seen, the Bond and Bloom Program supports kids in ways that really matter long term, including:
Building emotional awareness and confidence
Learning how to communicate clearly and respectfully
Developing empathy, patience and responsibility
Spending meaningful time outdoors, away from screens
Feeling a genuine sense of calm and connection
These are not just nice extras, these are foundational life skills that support kids as they grow into teenagers and adults.
Why Nature and Animals Matter So Much
There is something incredibly powerful about being outdoors, surrounded by nature, without constant noise or distraction. Kids naturally settle. They breathe differently. They become more present.
Adding horses into that environment creates even deeper learning. Horses are sensitive, intuitive and completely non judgemental. They respond to energy, not words. For many kids, especially those who struggle with anxiety or emotional regulation, this kind of interaction can be incredibly grounding.
Nurtured by Nature Psychotherapy brings professional therapeutic experience into this setting, which means children are supported in a way that feels safe, calm and considered.

A Program That Supports Families Too
One thing we really like about this program is that it recognises kids don’t exist in a bubble. Families are part of the journey too. Parents are welcome to stay, observe and be part of the experience if that feels right. It recognises that growth does not happen in isolation and that families play an important role in a child’s journey.
This approach aligns strongly with our own values. At Adventure Minds, we believe supporting kids also means supporting the people around them.
Why This Aligns So Well With Adventure Minds
Adventure Minds is built on the belief that kids grow best through real experiences, meaningful connection and time outdoors. NBN Psychotherapy reflects those same values.
We both care deeply about:
Emotional wellbeing, not just activity
Experiential learning, not passive learning
Connection to nature and community
Helping kids build confidence and resilience in their own time
Because of this strong alignment, we feel proud to share this program with the families in our community.
